The project included renovation, restoration and replacement of a 2,400 sq. ft. two-story, main-street, jewelry store facade. The project was funded in part by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development Façade Program. The project called for improvements to the facade of this building, located in the historic downtown district of Columbus, NE, accentuating the historic elements of the district, and restoring the façade to its original period design as closely as possible. The design incorporated the three design elements of a traditional storefront, to retain the integrity of the streetscape: bulkhead, storefront windows and transom windows. The project was subject to the Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations and E-Verify federal program requirements. The work was designed and phased to help facilitate the Owners continued occupancy and operation of regular store hours throughout the construction phase.
